FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone)
- Follicle Stimulating Hormone plays an important role in sexual development and functioning. FSH is made by your pituitary gland, a small gland located underneath the brain. This test measures the level of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) in your blood.
- This test is useful as an adjunct in the evaluation of menstrual irregularities. It also evaluates patients with suspected hypogonadism, predicts ovulation, evaluates infertility and helps in diagnosing pituitary disorders.
