Description
- The lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) test is most often prescribed to check for tissue damage. LDH is an enzyme found in liver, heart, muscle, kidney, lung & other body parts. This test is useful for investigating a variety of diseases involving these organs.
- This test measures the amount of LDH in your blood or other body fluid. High levels of LDH indicate some form of tissue damage.
