Dr. Haseeb Drabu – Chairman (Independent Director)

  • Dr. Haseeb A Drabu is professional economist with a diverse skill set and wide-ranging experience. Involved with national economic policy making in India for seven years at the highest level, including in the Planning Commission, Finance Commission and the Economic Advisory Council of the Prime Minister Leveraging the national level experience, worked as the Economic Advisor, the principal economic policy maker at the state level for seven years. Chose to put policy into operations and headed a bank as Chairman and Chief executive for five years. In between government policy making and banking operations, headed India’s premier financial daily, Business Standard. Even as a regular commentator on economic issues, was associated with various governmental policy making bodies both at the Centre as well as the state level.
  • He also writes a fortnightly column for Wall Street Journal partner in India, the business daily, Mint.
  • He has been associated with government and corporate policy making in various capacities. He was a member of the Prime Minister’s Task Force on the Long-term Development, Member, Planning Commission’s Working Group on Resources other than Tax Resources for the Eleventh Five-Year Plan, Consultant, Asian Development Bank on reforms and reconstruction in J&K, Member, Commission on Centre-State Relations. and Member of the Expert Group on ‘Promotion of Diversity in living, education and workspaces for the minorities” formed by Government of India.

Dr. Pankaj Shah, Managing Director

Dr. Pankaj Shah has been the guiding beacon behind the entire process. His experience and expertise in the field of pathology is par excellence. His portfolio boasts of over 40 years of experience in the field of pathology. After having completed his medical sciences degree from the Government Medical college in Miraj, he completed his Diploma in Pathology and Bacteriology in 1987. His zeal for education made him pursue a Master’s degree from Tata Memorial Hospital in 1987 too. He has been a consulting pathologist for the past 38 years and his experience has enriched many students and patients alike.

Mr. Arvind Bhanushali – Promoter and Executive director

Professional financial adviser to many reputed business groups in India and abroad, and has over 23 years of experience in this profession. He is a commerce graduate from Mumbai University, and also founder and Promoter of Yashraj Biotechnology Limited, 100% export Oriented Company and Aspira Pathlab & Diagnostics Limited.

Mr. Avinash Mahajan – Independent Director

  • He is a Post graduate in Chemistry, is a chairman of the Company.
  • Mr. Mahajan has a very rich and diversified experience having worked four decades in various positions in four Large Public Sector Banks Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Allahabad Bank and Canara Bank, particularly in the areas of credit, foreign exchange, treasury, international operations etc. and has significantly contributed to strengthen the position of all these four banks.
  • Post retirement from Canara Bank as Chairman and Managing Director, he is serving/has served on the Board / Governing Council of the various leading Companies of India as Independent Director, having business in Education, Finance, Petrochemicals, Mutual Funds, Asset Reconstruction, Power, Diagnostics etc.
  • He has also served Chairman of Banking Codes and Standards Board of India, a quasi-Regulatory body, established by Reserve Bank of India, for ensuring Customers of Banks in India are rendered service as per standards committed by banks, for more than six years.

Dr. Subhash Salunke- Independent Director

  • Dr.Subhash Salunke has an MBBS, a Diploma in Public Health, a Diploma in Industrial Health and an M.D. from the University of Pune.
  • He is the Senior Advisor, Health Systems Support Unit (HSSU), PHFI since 15th May, 2010.
  • Dr.Subhash Salunke has been an effective and popular faculty in the subject of Preventive and Social Medicine (Community Medicine) for eight years and a postgraduate guide. Also, he was an adjunct Associate professor of Biological Sciences, human ecology at the University of Texas, USA – School of Public Health – from 1994 to 2000. His 30 years’ experience in the Public Health Department spans from Deputy Director to Director General in the Health Services of Maharashtra. Most of his illustrative examples of achievements in contemporary Public Health emanate from his own personal experience. Being an achiever, he has experienced a meteoric rise in the field of Public Health. His stint with the WHO SEARO spanned from being Regional Advisor in 2005 to Assistant Regional Director in 2009, including three years as the WHO representative to Indonesia.
  • He has navigated various portfolios in Public Health not only by fulfilling goals and targets but also by demonstrating innovative and rational ways. He has assisted State Governments to initiate a number of schemes, mainly focusing on health services to the poorer section of society. He was actively involved in formulating projects like “Health System Development” for Maharashtra that was supported by the World Bank. He has shown leadership in designing the HIV/AIDS Control special programme (AVERT) with the assistance of USAID for Maharashtra State. He was one of the members of designing National AIDS Control Programme Phase II during 1999-2000 that was a major step in control of HIV/AIDS through the National Programme for Control of HIV/AIDS.

Mrs. Mangala Prabhu – Independent Director

  • Mrs. Mangala is highly qualified with M.Com, L.L.B and CAIIB.
  • Experienced banking professional with 41 years of experience working at Union Bank of India (Nov 1976 – Apr 2015) across multiple roles spanning corporate credit, foreign exchange, HR and branch banking.
  • Instrumental in formation of business restructuring process of verticalisation of entire credit portfolio of the bank along with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
  • Led the Large corporate credit portfolio as General Manager in Union Bank of India in Mumbai for 3 years.
  • Extensive experience in entire value chain of large value credit proposals.
  • Working as financial consultant (Director) with Ladderup Finance Limited advising clients in mid / large corporate sector.

Ms. Vandana Bhansali – Independent Director

  • Vandana Bhansali is currently the Head of Innovation and Special Projects at Mann Deshi.
  • A development professional for over fifteen years, she was worked in both the corporate and development sectors, with a focus on designing innovative financial products and solutions that reach beneficiaries right at the grassroots. She spent over a decade with HSBC India before joining Mann Deshi.
  • She holds her Bachelors and Masters in Human Development from University of Mumbai and Diploma in Management of Voluntary Service Organisation from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. Ms. Vandana sits on the Board of MyRoots India Foundation – a Sec 8 Company working with grassroots farmers across India to provide authentic and local solutions from end to end.

Dr. Abhay Chowdhary – Independent Director

  • Dr. Abhay Chowdhary was Director and Head of Virology & Immunology at the Prestigious Haffkine Institute, Mumbai, India between, April 2008-May 2015.He was the Director of AIDS Research and Control (ARCON) centre, Sir J J hospital, Mumbai
  • During Aug 2005 to Aug 2009. He has an experience of 40 years as a post-graduate teacher in Clinical Microbiology as Professor & Head of Microbiology at Grant Medical College & Sir J J Hospital, Mumbai, and SBH Govt. Medical College, Dhule.
  • He also serves as an Advisor and Consultant in the field of Laboratory Medicine, HIV/AIDS, Healthcare safety and Quality Management Systems in Clinical Laboratory. He was the Chairman, Board of Studies, Member of Super specialty subjects, Member of Faculty of Medicine and member of Academic Council of MUHS.
  • He has been an expert team member for Assessment of National Reference Laboratories (NRLs) & State Reference Laboratories (SRLs) under National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), Government of India, along with Expert Teams from CDC, USA and WHO, 2008 – 2010.
  • He received Fogarty fellowship for Training at Johns Hopkins University, USA in 2003.
  • Dr Abhay Chowdhary is a Certified Technical Assessor for NABL & NABH. He is the Member of the Standing Committee on Zoonoses, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. He serves on editorial boards of International Journal of STD & AIDS & several peer reviewed journals. His expertise and special interests include Medical Virology, Clinical Microbiology, Parasitology, Immunology and Infectious Diseases.
  • He was Secretary of Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists (IAMM). He was the Secretary of Infectious Diseases Society of India (IDSI). He was President of Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists(IAMM).

    • Life Time Achievement Award in Microbiology by Indian Association of Applied Microbiologists 2010
    • Presidential Oration Award by Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists, 2010
    • Innovations in Science & Technology Award 2011, by SAARC, 2011.

Subodh Gadgil, Director – Operations

Subodh has an experience of over 2 decades in various fields and varied aspects of these fields. Although by education, he’s an Instrumentation Engineer, he chose to move upwards and pursue a Masters Degree in Business Management. After this, he worked with many diverse fields like Petrochemicals, Specialty Chemicals, Biotech, Healthcare and Project Management. During this, he also made time for a PMP and a Six Sigma Certification. Strategy and Operations Management are his forte. He has successfully led several strategic projects and ventures.

Shailendra Raghuwanshi, Head – Sales & Marketing

Shailendra has an overall experience of over two decades in the diagnostics & healthcare industry. He has worked in challenging environments all this while to carve a niche for himself in the industry. He has worked with reputed industry veterans and some world class brands for 20 years of his career. His undying need for knowledge inspired him to take up learning in marketing & finance from the reputed NMIMS, Mumbai.

Santosh Kumbhar, Head – Information Technology

Santosh has been in the workforce for about 2 decades and has been working in the Information Technology domain majorly. He has had an experience in working with industry leaders in verticals like Healthcare – Diagnostics, Pharma and IT which is a rare combination.

Pravin Singh, Head – Logistics & Purchase

Pravin has been a Supply Chain Professional for over a decade. His experience has been in many and varied industries like Telecom, Finance, and Health Care. He has worked in an array of departments through his career like Procurement, Planning, Logistics and Inventory Management in Healthcare domain. His work structure and experience have led him to have a lot of experience in Planning, Distribution, Customer Service and Logistics.

He holds a Master’s degree in Operations and International Trade Management. His education had helped him aid and successfully handhold several ERP application and it’s implementation from a user front.

Sarfaraz Mungruskar, Sr. Manager – Quality Assurance

Sarfaraz is a multi-skilled professional, with more than a decade of experience in the healthcare arena at various clinical, managerial levels in Quality Management. He has been exposed to diverse cultures with multiple organizations which enables him to capture the areas of improvement in different healthcare practices.

He has participated in lab work as well as worked with NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) and College of American Pathologists. This informed him of the standards and gave him strong experience to deliver and apply those standards to his work.

He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from Mumbai University. In addition to that he is an ISO 15189:2007 certified professional{Internal audit and Quality Management system from Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS)}, and ISO 15189:2012 from {Foundation Quality of India (FQI) which helped him implement the best practices in the field of quality. Also, he has completed NABH training on Radiology for Healthcare providers and ISO 17043 for Proficiency Testing management.

Dr. Swati Patki, Consultant Pathologist

Dr. Swati procured her MBBS in 2009 and her MD in 2014 from RGUHS, Karnataka, and LTMMC & LTMGH, Sion, Mumbai respectively. She finished her Fellowship in Cardio Vascular Pathology from GSMC and KEMH, Mumbai in the year 2016. She also pursued DNB Pathology from NBE, New Delhi in the year 2015. She is presently working as consultant Pathologist at Aspira Pathlab & Diagnostics Limited (Ghatkopar).

Suman Pandey – Hr-Asst. Manager

She completed her Master’s degree in Business Administration from IBM and Bachelor in Management Study Specialized in HR. Skilled professional with six years experience in human resources, client interaction, teamwork, and training proven record of working in a team environment to analyze needs, recommend and implement creative, workable and cost-effective solutions. Report preparation, data analysis, HRMS programming, and network and application support.

Dr. Sumit Chavan, MBBS, MD Microbiology

He holds a master degree in Microbiology from renowned BJ Govt. Medical College, Pune and qualified MBBS from MIMER Medical College, Talegaon, Pune.

He has varied experience ranging from Clinical microbiology, hospital Infection control to Molecular Microbiology and R&D. He is focused and experienced microbiologist committed to serving patients by diagnosing and assisting in managing their health related issues, having rich experience of 6+ years in healthcare industry.
