Avinash Mahajan, Chairman

Avinash has had over 4 decades of a high profile career in the banking industry, making difficult decisions and tough policy changes have become an effortless task for. Having worked with large banking corporations until 2010, retirement was naturally going to be an active one for the banking veteran.

Apart from being associated with various companies as director, he is also the chairman of Banking Codes and Standards Board of India ( BCSBI) which is a quasi-regulator for customer rights in banks. He serves as the Director at Religare Enterprises Limited, New Delhi, IDBI MF trustee Limited, Lanco Babanth Power Limited, Lanco Anapara Power Limited, Hindustan Mittal Energy Limited, Hindustan Mittal Pipelines Limited, CFM Asset Reconstruction Company Limited, Religare Finvest Limited and Religare Housing Development Corporation Limited.

His past experience boasts of names like Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Allahabad Bank and Canara Bank with experience, particularly in the areas of credit, foreign exchange, treasury, etc. His knowledge in the field of finance is unparalleled. He has contributed significantly to strengthen the position of these banks.

Dr. Pankaj Shah, Managing Director

Dr. Shah has been the guiding beacon behind the entire process. His experience and expertise in the field of pathology is par excellence. His portfolio boasts of over 40 years of experience in the field of pathology. After having completed his medical sciences degree from the Government Medical college in Miraj, he completed his Diploma in Pathology and Bacteriology in 1987. His zeal for education made him pursue a Master’s degree from Tata Memorial Hospital in 1987 too. He has been a consulting pathologist for the past 38 years and his experience has enriched many students and patients alike.

Arvind Bhanushali, Director

Arvind wears many feathers in his hat. Apart from being the Chairman at Yashraj Biotechnology Limited, he is also the Director of Chartered Finance Management Limited and sponsor Director of CFM Asset Reconstruction Pvt. Ltd (CFM ARC).

A commerce graduate from Mumbai University, Mr. Arvind’s vision for Yashraj was that of diversity hence, the “YASHRAJ GROUP” has diversified interests in finance, construction, agriculture, chemicals, and biotechnology. Yashraj Biotechnology was established in 1999 with a mission to achieve excellence in biotechnology and utilize its power for the good of humanity. The company has brought the benefits of molecular diagnostics to the frontlines of health care and made diagnostics affordable and easily available to the common man.

Apart from his industrious nature, his innovative facet allowed him to become the promoter of Creya Learning & Research Private Limited, India’s premier learning company handling implementation of Studio based Learning programs. With an interest to serve and give back to the society, he is also one of the founding members of Yashraj Research Foundation, a charitable Trust which encourages research in various aspects of medicine and education.

Dr. Chander Puri, CEO

Dr. Puri is best known as the Chief Executive Officer of a biotechnology company, Yashraj Biotechnology Limited. But he also dons other hats.
Pro Vice Chancellor at the MGM Institute of Health Sciences (Deemed University) and Director of an ICMR Institute, National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health in Mumbai, are two of the many other positions he has held.
Along with these, he has been an integral part of the team at World Health Organization, Geneva where he was the Programme Manager in the Department of Reproductive Health and Research. He was also responsible for strengthening research programs in institutions of countries in the South-East Asian Region. He has also worked with the Washington University School of Medicine, USA and the Karolinska Hospital, Stockholm.
Dr. Puri has published over 100 articles in peer reviewed journals. He is an elected Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, and Fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences. He is a Chief Editor of MGM Journal of Medical Sciences.

Paresh Bhanushali, Director

Paresh holds a Masters degree in Biotechnology from the extremely prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Mumbai). His degree combined with his inquisitive nature helped him gain extensive knowledge in the related fields. He has high expertise in protein chemistry including purification, characterization and structure-function studies.

Mangala Prabhu, Director

Mangala has been a banking professional for over 4 decades and has worked as an integral cog with the Union bank of India from 1976 to 2015. During her stint with the UBI, she works across various platforms like corporate credit, foreign exchange, HR and branch banking. She was instrumental in forming the business restructuring process of verticalisation of entire credit portfolio of the bank along with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) which was a challenge she took on with a fighting spirit.

With her remarkable leadership qualities, she led the large corporate credit portfolio as General Manager in Union Bank of India in Mumbai for 3 years. Her extensive experience in entire value chain of large value credit proposals has proven beneficial for her future projects. She is highly qualified with M.Com, L.L.B and CAIIB qualifications.

Vandana Bhansali, Director

Vandana is a development professional. She has over 15 years of experience in Development and Corporate Sustainability sector and has interacted with over 150 NGOs across India during her career. She holds Bachelors in Science and Masters in Home Science from Nirmala Niketan College of Home Science, Mumbai University with specialization in Human Development and Diploma in Management of Voluntary Service Organization from NMIMS. The longest tenure of her career was with HSBC India for a decade and she is currently working with Mann Deshi as Programme Director. She loves trekking, enjoys adventure sports, delves into nature, travels and listens to music in her free time.

Subodh Gadgil, Director – Operations

Subodh has an experience of over 2 decades in various fields and varied aspects of these fields. Although by education, he’s an Instrumentation Engineer, he chose to move upwards and pursue a Masters Degree in Business Management. After this, he worked with many diverse fields like Petrochemicals, Specialty Chemicals, Biotech, Healthcare and Project Management. During this, he also made time for a PMP and a Six Sigma Certification. Strategy and Operations Management are his forte. He has successfully led several strategic projects and ventures.

Shailendra Raghuwanshi, Head – Sales & Marketing

Shailendra has an overall experience of over two decades in the diagnostics & healthcare industry. He has worked in challenging environments all this while to carve a niche for himself in the industry. He has worked with reputed industry veterans and some world class brands for 20 years of his career. His undying need for knowledge inspired him to take up learning in marketing & finance from the reputed NMIMS, Mumbai.

Santosh Kumbhar, Head – Information Technology

Santosh has been in the workforce for about 2 decades and has been working in the Information Technology domain majorly. He has had an experience in working with industry leaders in verticals like Healthcare – Diagnostics, Pharma and IT which is a rare combination.

Pravin Singh, Head – Logistics & Purchase

Pravin has been a Supply Chain Professional for over a decade. His experience has been in many and varied industries like Telecom, Finance, and Health Care. He has worked in an array of departments through his career like Procurement, Planning, Logistics and Inventory Management in Healthcare domain. His work structure and experience have led him to have a lot of experience in Planning, Distribution, Customer Service and Logistics.

He holds a Master’s degree in Operations and International Trade Management. His education had helped him aid and successfully handhold several ERP application and it’s implementation from a user front.

Sarfaraz Mungruskar, Sr. Manager – Quality Assurance

Sarfaraz is a multi-skilled professional, with more than a decade of experience in the healthcare arena at various clinical, managerial levels in Quality Management. He has been exposed to diverse cultures with multiple organizations which enables him to capture the areas of improvement in different healthcare practices.

He has participated in lab work as well as worked with NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) and College of American Pathologists. This informed him of the standards and gave him strong experience to deliver and apply those standards to his work.

He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from Mumbai University. In addition to that he is an ISO 15189:2007 certified professional{Internal audit and Quality Management system from Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS)}, and ISO 15189:2012 from {Foundation Quality of India (FQI) which helped him implement the best practices in the field of quality. Also, he has completed NABH training on Radiology for Healthcare providers and ISO 17043 for Proficiency Testing management.

Dr. Swati Patki, Consultant Pathologist

Dr. Swati procured her MBBS in 2009 and her MD in 2014 from RGUHS, Karnataka, and LTMMC & LTMGH, Sion, Mumbai respectively. She finished her Fellowship in Cardio Vascular Pathology from GSMC and KEMH, Mumbai in the year 2016. She also pursued DNB Pathology from NBE, New Delhi in the year 2015. She is presently working as consultant Pathologist at Aspira Pathlab & Diagnostics Limited (Ghatkopar).

Sudnya Marathe, Executive – Admin, HR & Legal Compliance

Sudnya works in the field of Admin, HR & Legal Compliance. She completed her Master’s degree in Business Administration from the prestigious Welingkar Institute of Management, Development & Research. Her thirst for knowledge has drawn her to also pursue an LL.B. degree from Government Law College, Mumbai.

Dr. Fahmiya Leena Yacoob, Head – Microbiology & Molecular Biology

Graduated MBBS from renowned Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi. Did M.D. Microbiology from prestigious Govt. Medical College, Kozhikode, Kerala. Publication in international journal on primary MDR TB and LPA. Peer reviewer in various indexed journals and presented at regional conferences.

Extracurricular interests: writing (poetry, articles), reading, loves teaching and is passionate about empowering youth to achieve their aspirations.
Attained Bronze standard of Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award for Young People from United Arab Emirates.
