Description
- The Hepatitis A Virus, even though with its self limiting nature to an individual, can cause life-threatening situations if not brought under control in time. This test profiles you for detection of the Anti HAV IgM antibodies as the symptoms start to appear, 15 – 45 days after its exposure to the virus. It is advisable to take this test in case of a sign of any symptom, because the Anti HAV IgM antibodies become undetectable after six months of infection, causing difficulty in diagnosis later on.
- Fever, malaise, loss of appetite, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal discomfort, dark-coloured urine and jaundice are a few symptoms of HAV.
