Description
- Ferritin is a blood protein that contains iron. A ferritin test helps your doctor understand how much iron is in your body. Low levels of ferritin in the blood indicate you have an iron deficiency and are anaemic. It is also useful to assess iron overload conditions like Hemochromatosis.
